 MP Screens can be cut for OEM, MP and  Madstad brackets.  You can purchase either MP or Madstad brackets from this site if you are also purchasing a screen.  If you only want the Madstad brackets – please visit Mark’s website at www.madstad.com.

Since MP screens are custom cut to the rider’s specifications – it is very important to take your line-of-site measurement before placing the order.

LOS – Line of Site Measurement

(LOS) - Line of Site Measurement - In order to size the screen for a perfect fit – it’s necessary for you to take a simple measurement.  This measurement is best done in the street (as opposed to looking at the inside of your garage).  This measurement will allow us to recommend a height and screen position to allow you maximum coverage – but still have clear visibility over the top of the screen.

Sit up straight on your bike like you normally ride.  Put one end of a tape measure on the top of the gas tank cap – hold the other end vertical in front of your head.  Read the measurement that fall’s closest to your line of site looking straight ahead.  NOTE - This measurement is best done in the street looking down the road with a friend holding the tape measure.

Madstad Bracket Combinations

·        If you want a touring screen – and your line-of-site is 20” – you will want a 20” touring screen.  If your line-of-site is 21” – you will want a 21” screen – and so on…

·        With the Madstad bracket – we would recommend that you purchase a MP screen that is at least 14” or taller.  The 11.5” screen looks a little strange with the Madstad bracket.

DL1000 (above) 20” grand touring screen w/full bottom paint & Madstad brackets.  The grand touring screen is 4” wider at the top than the standard touring screen.  This wider grand touring screen will also have less clearance at full lock with OEM bars/mirrors/guards. This is the best selling MP Cycle screen!!

Standard 21” touring screen w/Madstad brackets – this screen should allow full handbar lock-to-lock clearance unless you have after market bars that are lower/narrower than OEM bars.  Above picture is full paint – picture below is full bottom tint.

MP Bracket Combinations – 04 through 08 DL 650 & Dl 1000

MP brackets are powder coated black and have 1.5” of total height adjustment (3 levels).

·        If you want a touring screen and MP brackets – and your line-of-site is 20” – you will want a 21” touring screen.  If your line-of-site is 21” – you will want a 22” screen – and so on…

MP Bracket Combinations – 02/03 DL1000

With the 02/03 models – the line-of-site measurement is extremely important.  These screens are custom cut to you line-of-site specification.

If your line-of-site is 20” – the screen size will be 21” and the height of the screen will be 18.5” from the indent around the ignition switch – measured vertical to the top of the screen.

02 – DL1000 with 14” shorty - specifically designed for off-road and sport riding.  We highly recommend using a short screen – or “NO” screen – anytime you leave the pavement.

The OEM screen (left) can be made in 1/8” clear or tinted Lexan from 11” to 17” (pictured is 11” OEM screen).  The mini screen uses “no” bracket and is mounted direct to bracket sub-frame.

All screen orders come with quick “t” release screws (fits both Madstad and MP brackets).  You will be able to switch screens in less than 2 minutes.  These screws allow installation without tools – no worries about your screwdriver slipping and damaging the screen.
